Pengertian Geografi
1.Prof. Bintarto : Geografi mempelajari hubungan kausal gejala-gejala di muka bumi dan peristiwa-peristiwa yang terjadi di muka bumi baik yang fisikal maupun yang menyangkut mahkluk hidup beserta permasalahannya, melalui pendekatan keruangan, ekologikal dan regional untuk kepentingan program, proses dan keberhasilan pembangunan.

2.Claudius Ptolomeus : mempelajari hal, baik yang disebabkan oleh alam atau manusia dan mempelajari akibat yang disebabkan dari perbedaan yang terjadi itu.

3.Erastothenes : geografi berasal dari kata geographica yang berarti penulisan atau penggambaran mengenai bumi.

4.Ellsworth Hunthington: memandang manusia sebagai figur yang pasif sehingga hidupnya dipengaruhi oleh alam sekitarnya.

19.Jhon Alexander Geografi merupakan disiplin ilmu yang menganalisis variasi keruangan dalam veriabel kawasan-kawsandan hubungan antar variabel – variabel keruangan.

20.Harstone Geografi adalah sebuah ilmu yang menampilkan relitas deferensiasi muka bumi seperti apa adanya, tidak hanya dalam arti perbedaan-perbedaan dalam hal tertentu, tetapi juga dalam arti kombinasi keseluruhan fenomena di setiap tempat, yang berbeda dari keadaanya di tempat lain.

21.Bernard Varen (1622–1650) Bernard Varen atau lebih dikenal dengan Varenius adalah seorang geograf asal Jerman. Anehnya, dia adalah lulusan Ilmu Kedokteran Universitas Leiden, Belanda. Dalam bukunya, Geographia Generalis, ia mengatakan bahwa geografi adalah campuran dari matematika yang membahas kondisi Bumi beserta bagian-bagiannya juga tentang benda-benda langit lainnya.

22.Immanuel Kant (1724–1821) Selain sebagai seorang geograf, Kant juga seorang filsuf. Kant tertarik pada geografi karena menurutnya ilmu itu dekat dengan filsafat. Semua gagasan Kant tentang hakikat geografi dapat ditemukan dalam buku Physische Geographie yang ditulisnya. Menurutnya, geografi adalah ilmu yang objek studinya adalah benda-benda, hal-hal atau gejala-gejala yang tersebar dalam wilayah di permukaan Bumi.

23.Alexander von Humboldt (1769–1859) Pada mulanya Humboldt adalah seorang ahli botani. Ia tertarik geografi ketika ia mulai mempelajari tentang batuan. Ia diakui sebagai peletak dasar geografi fisik modern. Ia menyatakan geografi identik atau serupa dengan geografi fisik. Ia menjelaskan bagaimana kaitan Bumi dengan Matahari dan perilaku Bumi dalam ruang angkasa, gejala cuaca dan iklim di dunia, tipe-tipe permukaan Bumi dan proses terjadinya, serta hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan hidrosfer dan biosfer.

24.Karl Ritter (1779–1859) Seperti halnya Humboldt, Ritter juga dianggap sebagai peletak dasar geografi modern. Profesor geografi Universitas Berlin ini mengatakan bahwa geografi merupakan suatu telaah tentang Bumi sebagai tempat hidup manusia. Hal-hal yang menjadi objek studi geografi adalah semua fenomena di permukaan Bumi, baik organik maupun anorganik yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan manusia

Ia melihat suatu negara cenderung meluaskan Lebensraum-nya sesuai kekuatan yang ia miliki

Rage Against the Machine adalah nama grup musik asal Los Angeles (Amerika Serikat) yang mengusung ramuan musik funk, hip-hop dan metal. Group ini terbentuk pada tahun 1990.
